Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how RMRS LLC ("RideWave," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information about riders and drivers who use the RideWave platform.

By using RideWave, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

Account information

Name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and password (stored as a secure hash, not in plain text).

Ride information

Pickup and drop-off locations, routes, distance, duration, fares, ride tier, ratings, comments, and ride history.

Location data

Real-time GPS location is collected from drivers continuously while they are online and from riders during active rides. Location data is used to match rides, navigate, calculate fares, and provide real-time arrival estimates. We stop collecting location data when you are not actively using the Service.

Payment information

RideWave does not collect, process, or store any payment information. Riders pay drivers directly — either in cash or by card via the driver's own payment terminal. The financial transaction takes place between the rider and the driver; RideWave is not a party to it and never sees card numbers, billing addresses, or charge details.

Driver-specific information

For drivers, we additionally collect: vehicle make, model, year, license plate, vehicle insurance details, driver's license number, and documentation required for Colorado TNC compliance.

Device & usage data

Device type, operating system, browser, IP address, app version, crash reports, and interaction logs (which features are used and when).

Communications

SMS verification codes are sent via Twilio. In-app chat messages between rider and driver are stored in our database for safety, dispute resolution, and quality assurance.

Sharing Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information in limited circumstances:

Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate RideWave. Each has its own privacy policy:

Google Maps Platform Maps, directions, distance/time calculation, geocoding Pickup/drop-off addresses, real-time location

SMS Text Messaging

RideWave uses SMS text messaging (delivered via Twilio) to send transactional and account-related communications. By providing your mobile phone number and consenting to receive SMS messages during signup, you agree to receive automated text messages at that number.

Types of messages you may receive

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your ride activity. A typical ride generates approximately 3 to 5 transactional messages (confirmation, driver assignment, arrival alert, and trip completion). Riders who book multiple rides per day, drivers actively accepting trips, and users completing two-factor authentication may receive more. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.

Costs

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. RideWave does not charge you for receiving SMS messages, but your wireless carrier may.

Opting out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. After replying STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts. Note that opting out of SMS may impair your ability to use certain features (such as receiving ride status updates or two-factor authentication codes).

To resume SMS messages after opting out, reply START or UNSTOP to any RideWave number.

Help

For help, reply HELP to any RideWave message, or contact us at rsrs@blackcarservice4u.com.

Supported carriers

SMS service is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Information sharing for SMS

We do not share, sell, or transfer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and the information collected during the SMS consent flow are shared only with Twilio (our messaging service provider) for the purpose of delivering the messages described above.
